On August 31, the area in front of Hoa Lo Prison Relic was crowded with tourists. Crowds stretched from the relic gate area, waiting to complete procedures and buy entrance tickets.
Among these, besides families, groups of young people and tourists from many provinces and cities, many international tourists were also present early. Although they had to wait quite a long time, many people were still excited, taking advantage of taking photos and learning about the relic.
The atmosphere in the area in front of Hoa Lo gate became bustling as groups of tourists successively entered inside. Some international tourists attentively observed the signs, exchanging with their companions about the history of the site.
For many foreign tourists, Hoa Lo Prison is not only a tourist attraction but also a place to help them learn more about Vietnamese history through the system of prison cells, artifacts, documents and stories recreated at the relic.
Coming to Hoa Lo Prison for the first time, Mr. Davin - an Australian tourist said he was quite surprised by the large number of visitors gathering from the morning. Having to queue did not reduce his excitement, because he wanted to witness firsthand a famous historical site of Hanoi.
I am very excited because this is my first time to Hoa Lo Prison. I have heard many people introduce this location and want to directly learn about the history of this place," Mr. Davin shared.
Some international tourists traveling in groups of friends or families also patiently waited for their turn. During the queuing time, they took the opportunity to record images and observe the bustling atmosphere of the neighborhood around the relic.
Ms. Casa Isabella, a French tourist, went with her husband and children to visit Hoa Lo Prison. Although she had to wait quite a long time, she still expressed her excitement and thought this would be a meaningful experience.
This is the first time my family has visited. Although the waiting time is a bit long, I think this trip will bring us a valuable and memorable experience," Ms. Casa Isabella shared.
According to records, the high number of visitors during the National Day holiday makes the ticket sales area and the entrance to the relic often crowded. The flow of visitors continuously moves inside after completing procedures.
Not only international tourists, many Vietnamese families also choose Hoa Lo as a destination during the holidays. Parents bring their children to visit with the desire to combine fun, experience and learn about history.
With its location in the center of Hanoi, Hoa Lo Prison is convenient for tourists to combine visiting many other destinations in the Old Quarter area and around Hoan Kiem Lake. During major holidays, the relic often becomes one of the destinations of interest to tourists.
