Data from Cam Ranh International Airport shows that during the 2026 New Year holiday, the number of passengers passing through the airport increased by about 15% compared to the same period in 2025.
Specifically, from January 1 to January 4, 2026, Cam Ranh International Airport served 512 take-off and landing flights, an increase of 4% compared to the same period; including about 321 international flights and 191 domestic flights. Total passenger volume reached more than 95,000, an increase of about 15% compared to the previous year.
Not only by air, the number of passengers traveling by road to Khanh Hoa during this occasion is also quite large.
Hotels and resorts in Nha Trang and Bai Dai areas recorded high room occupancy rates, many establishments reaching over 90% from December 31, 2025 to the end of January 4, 2026.
To create a highlight for the New Year atmosphere, Vinpearl tourism complex on Hon Tre island (Nha Trang ward) organized a large-scale countdown party with special art performances and impressive fireworks displays, attracting thousands of visitors to attend.
Many international tourists expressed excitement when experiencing sea and island tourism in Khanh Hoa.
Russian tourist Alexey said, this is my first time to Nha Trang and I have a very good impression. Beautiful sea, warm sunny weather, pleasant air, very suitable for vacation. The city is also quite clean and not too noisy compared to other tourist destinations I have been to.
