This year's National Day holiday on September 2 is a bumper season for Central region tourism, with a strong recovery and positive signals for Vietnam's tourism industry.
Quang Ngai, Hue City, and Da Nang City have welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors, affirming the strong attraction of this area.
Quang Ngai is one of the bright spots with more than 193,000 visitors, an increase of 32% over the same period. Total tourism revenue reached 183 billion VND.
Destinations such as Ly Son, Sa Huynh, My Khe, Mang Den and community tourism villages such as Go Co, Bau Ca Cai and Binh Thanh attract a large number of tourists.
In particular, Mang Den Eco-tourism Area welcomed about 36,000 visitors, with many vibrant culinary and cultural and artistic activities. This growth is explained by systematic investment in tourist destinations, diverse services and brand building policies.
Hue City also witnessed an explosion with 196,000 visitors, an increase of one and a half times compared to last year. Of which, there are 92,000 overnight guests and 23,000 international visitors.
The average room occupancy rate is 72%, many hotels are over 90%. Accommodation facilities proactively upgrade and organize many cultural activities at the Hue Monuments Complex. This contributes to bringing a unique experience to visitors during the holiday.
Da Nang and Hoi An are not far behind. Da Nang welcomed more than 620,000 visitors, an increase of 24% over the same period in 2024. International visitors reached 168,000, domestic visitors 452,000.
Tourism revenue reached over VND 2,200 billion, up 28%.
The average room occupancy rate in the city is 55-60%, with 4-5 star hotels reaching 65 70.%. Places such as Sun World Ba Na Hills and My Son Sanctuary attract many visitors.
Da Nang Airport received 687 flights in 5 days. Fire spraying activities - spraying water on Dragon Bridge, the peace praying ceremony at Than Tai Mountain, decorating the theme of the sea and islands at Hoang Sa Exhibition House created a vibrant festival atmosphere.
In Hoi An ancient town, the atmosphere of the independent Tet holiday is bustling throughout the old town. Tourists are bustling, shops are packed. Traditional craft villages, folk songs and traditional musical instruments are recreated, contributing to preserving culture and attracting visitors.
