During the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday and April 30 - January 1, for the past 5 years, Nghe An province has welcomed a large number of tourists to visit and relax, increasing compared to normal days.
On May 4, leaders of Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism informed that tourists mainly gathered at sea tourist areas, cultural and spiritual tourist attractions, along with eco-tourism and community tourism areas in the area.
It is estimated that the whole province will welcome and serve about 1,210,000 visitors; of which overnight visitors reach about 420,000. Average room occupancy rate reaches over 70%.
Notably, on peak days such as April 25, April 30 - May 1 and May 2, the average room occupancy rate increased by up to 90%, showing strong increase in tourism demand.
Total revenue from tourism activities is estimated at 2,191 billion VND; of which tourism service revenue reached about 846 billion VND.
