According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long, the total number of visitors to the province in the first 7 months of 2025 reached nearly 6 million (5,929,443), of which domestic visitors were 5,052,827 and international visitors were 876,616. Revenue from tourism activities reached about VND 5,052.695 billion.
The Department assessed that this result reflects the effectiveness of tourism development cooperation cooperation programs, especially the coordination of organizing large-scale events such as the 1st Vinh Long Culture, Sports and Tourism Week, competitions, fairs, special festivals... and promoting destinations on digital platforms.
Mr. Duong Hoang Sum - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long said that in order to continue maintaining growth momentum, the Vinh Long tourism industry is determined to strengthen promotion work, focusing on developing green tourism products, community tourism associated with digital transformation.
In the last months of the year, the province focuses on implementing the Project on developing community tourism in co lao communes, organizing professional training classes for tourism workers and completing investment dossiers to enjoy incentives according to Resolution 01 of the Provincial People's Council.
"Along with that, Vinh Long will continue to improve the quality of services at destinations, strengthen communication of tourism "The Song Culture of the Coconut River" associated with the message "Safe - Friendly - Quality" to attract domestic and foreign visitors, aiming to complete the target for the whole year of 2025", Mr. Sum added.
