On April 9, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province announced that the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) will take place from April 9 to 12, 2026 at the ICE Hanoi International Exhibition Center, with the theme "Digital Transformation and Green Growth - Elevating Vietnam Tourism".
With the role of the locality hosting National Tourism Year 2026, Gia Lai province is completing the best preparation for promotional and advertising activities to attract tourists. This is considered an important "push" for Gia Lai to affirm its position and attractiveness on the domestic and international tourism map.
The fair has a scale of about 450 booths, attracting more than 600 businesses from 34 provinces and cities across the country, along with 15 countries and territories. The Organizing Committee expects to welcome about 80,000 visitors.
The highlight of the fair is the trade connection program held on April 9, gathering about 350-400 businesses, including 150 international travel companies and 200 Vietnamese businesses. This is an opportunity for businesses to meet, exchange, sign cooperation agreements and expand markets in the context of the strong recovery of the tourism industry.
Participating in VITM Hanoi 2026, Gia Lai not only brings simple service information but also recreates a unique cultural space "Great forest touches blue sea" right in the heart of the Capital.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with the Gia Lai Provincial Tourism Association (including 11 tourism businesses) to implement a common booth of the province.
The distinctive highlight of Gia Lai booth is the combination of technology and tradition. Visitors will experience the tourist image of the province through a large LED screen, and directly admire artisans performing folk musical instruments and traditional martial arts.
Special art performances such as the "Village Festival" folk instrument concert, the "Trinh Tuong Khanh Chuc" dance, or "Tay Son - Heroic Footsteps" bring the strong, heroic breath of the great red land, contributing to impressing international friends and tourists in the Capital.
Although the international context is still facing many difficulties for tourism development, Vietnam's tourism still recorded positive growth signals. According to statistics from the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, in March 2026 alone, Vietnam welcomed nearly 2.1 million international visitors. Accumulated in the first 3 months of 2026, the total number of international visitors reached 6.76 million, an increase of 12.4% compared to the same period in 2025. Of which, visitors came by air accounting for 82.3%, by land accounting for 15.5% and by sea accounting for 2.2%.
