Of which, international visitors reached over 80,000, an increase of 35% compared to 2024, mainly from the markets of China, Korea, India, Taiwan (China), the US, Japan, the UK and Australia. Tourism revenue is estimated at VND4,500 billion, up nearly 80% over the same period.
The sharp increase in accommodation demand has caused many 3-5 star hotels to reach 100% room occupancy on peak day 1.9, such as Novotel Thai Ha, Novotel Suites, Lacasa Hanoi, Bao Son, Grand Mercure...
In the whole city, the average room occupancy rate reached 83%, an increase of more than 22 percentage points compared to last year.
The 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 are also associated with many cultural and artistic programs, promoting the image of the Capital. Notable are the program "Ba Dinh Red" and a survey of the two-level train tour route "The Hanoi Train - The 5-way train convoy of Cua O", the exhibition "80 years of independence - freedom - Happiness" in Dong Anh attracted nearly 1.2 million visitors in just 3 days.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism coordinated with the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board to present 35,000 gifts to people and tourists visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, demonstrating their affection and responsibility in serving tourists.
In addition, many international reporters and overseas Vietnamese were invited to visit and experience Bat Trang pottery village, Duong Lam ancient village and the double-decker city bus tour.

In addition, museums under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened for free from September 1 to 3, many free experiences at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, Bat Trang or the Cultural - Tourism Village of Vietnamese ethnic groups have brought rich experiences to visitors.
Preliminary statistics from some destinations show the strong attraction of Hanoi: Hanoi Zoo and Thang Long Imperial Citadel each welcomed about 33,000 visitors; Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam about 18,000; Hoa Lo Prison over 26,000; Co Loa 5,670 visits; Ba Vi National Park over 3,000 visits... in just 3 days from August 30 to September 1.
The inspection team of the Department of Tourism also noted that major tourist attractions have increased reception, ensuring security, order, traffic safety, food hygiene and the environment. There were no negative or unusual situations during the holiday.
With this result, Hanoi continues to affirm its position as the leading attractive cultural and historical destination in the country. At the same time, it left a good impression on international visitors on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.
