On the afternoon of August 28, within the framework of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 (1945 - 2025), the Hanoi Department of Tourism coordinated with the Vietnam Craft Village quintessence Center to organize a program to welcome a group of international reporters and overseas Vietnamese reporters to visit Bat Trang ancient pottery village, Gia Lam commune, Hanoi.
Here, the group learned about the history of the formation of the pottery industry and craft villages, explored typical relics of Bat Trang pottery village (Dinh Lang, Van Chi, Ngo An, Nha Gian Khoi) and directly admired the space of the Xua and Ngay pottery industries.

Bat Trang pottery village is hundreds of years old with 23 ancient houses and 16 temples built with Bat Trang bricks, which are a place that preserves many traditional cultural features. The village is not only known for its pottery making but is also famous for its tradition of studiousness and honoring knowledge.
Mr. Tran Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism, shared: "We are striving to build a typical tourism brand for Hanoi as a city of thousands of years of heritage, of peace, and a wonderful destination, attracting tourists from all over the world".

The capital's tourism industry is witnessing impressive growth and aims to welcome 8 million visitors this year. According to Mr. Tran Trung Hieu, organizing an experience for international reporters in Bat Trang is part of that effort, aiming to promote the thousand-year-old cultural values and professional tourism services of Hanoi to the world.
According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, Bat Trang is one of the typical craft villages of the capital, attracting hundreds of thousands of domestic and foreign visitors each year.
Organizing an experiential activity for international reporters on this occasion is an opportunity to introduce the quintessence of craft villages, promoting strong development of cultural tourism - craft villages in the integration period.
