The project to repair, embellish and promote the value of Kiep Bac Temple Relic Area is managed by the Hai Phong Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board. The project is implemented to complete the relic system, infrastructure and landscape of Kiep Bac Relic Area according to the General Plan of Con Son - Kiep Bac Relic Area approved by the Prime Minister.
Accordingly, the Project focuses on completing the worship system, restoring traditional rituals in festivals, contributing to improving the quality of management, preservation and promotion of relic values. Through the restoration of the archaeological excavation pit in 1972, the project continues to clarify outstanding global values, authenticity and integrity of heritage according to UNESCO recommendations.
In addition, the Project also aims to promote the value of relics, effectively exploit tourism potential and resources, build unique tourism products, attract tourists, contribute to educating historical and cultural traditions and promote local socio-economic development.
The project investment also creates a harmonious landscape space, meeting the spiritual and cultural needs of the people, and at the same time attracting investment resources to serve the sustainable development of the relic site.
The project includes many items of restoration, embellishment and investment in technical infrastructure at Kiep Bac Relic Site and related relics. In which, focus on landscape embellishment, technical infrastructure system, repair of Nghi Mon Gate, construction of works serving management, exhibition of artifacts, preservation and promotion of the value of archaeological excavation pits at Kiep Bac Temple. Implement restoration and embellishment of Bac Dau Temple, Nam Tao Temple; site clearance, construction of auxiliary works, completion of fire prevention and fighting system, electricity supply, water supply and drainage and synchronous landscape.
The project also implements renovation and restoration of the ecological landscape at Con Kiem; construction of Mieu Cuu Thien Vu De Temple and traffic connection items, technical infrastructure; investment in a wastewater treatment area with a capacity of 250m3/day and night and a wastewater collection system, contributing to preserving and promoting the value of relics associated with sustainable tourism development.
The project has a total investment of more than 1,156.74 billion VND from the city budget, implemented in the period 2026 - 2028. In which, the investment preparation phase is implemented from the first quarter to the second quarter of 2026; the construction phase from the third quarter of 2026 to the fourth quarter of 2027; the project is expected to be completed, handed over and put into use in the first quarter of 2028.
