According to the plan on green transformation of Viet Hai Community Tourist Area, in the period 2025-2030, Cat Hai Special Zone People's Committee focuses on green transformation in 5 areas including: green tourism, green transportation, green agriculture, green environment and green energy, with the determination to complete the green transformation of Viet Hai Community Tourist Area before 2030.
Cat Hai Special Zone People's Committee deploys the conversion of motorbikes and mopeds using gasoline fuel to electric motorbikes. For households currently using motorbikes and mopeds using gasoline fuel, if the vehicle is registered as the owner, is eligible for circulation and meets the requirements according to regulations, households are supported with 100% of the money to buy one vehicle/household. For households currently using motorbikes and mopeds using gasoline fuel but the vehicle is not registered as the owner, the support level is 80% of the money to buy one vehicle/household. For households that do not have motorbikes or mopeds using gasoline fuel, the support level of 50% of the money to buy one vehicle/household is applied according to the conversion support plan.
After listening to information about the policy of vehicle conversion and support plans, the participating households all agreed with the conversion policy, and signed commitments to implement it, gradually switching from gasoline-fueled vehicles to electric motorbikes.
Leaders of Cat Hai special zone acknowledged the consensus of the people; requested departments and specialized units to closely coordinate with Viet Hai village, guide people to complete procedures, implement policies for the right people, publicly, transparently, and ensure progress; and affirmed that the special zone government will continue to accompany and support people in the transition process.
Along with the support policy, Cat Hai Special Zone Police support 100% of the cost of building license plates for vehicles subject to green conversion, contributing to creating synchronization in vehicle identification, management and deployment of green traffic models.
The consensus and specific commitments of the people are an important starting point for Viet Hai to gradually form a green transportation model, contributing to building a green, friendly and sustainable community tourism destination.
