Speaking at the opening ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of An Phong Ward People's Committee Tran Van Hai - Head of the Festival Organizing Committee emphasized that this year's festival is organized in the context of the locality focusing highly on implementing emulation movements, striving to successfully complete socio-economic development goals, building An Phong ward to become increasingly civilized and beautiful.
Maintaining and solemnly organizing traditional festivals not only meets the cultural and religious needs of the people, but also contributes to preserving and promoting intangible cultural values in the area.
This year's festival is organized in the spirit of solidarity, solemnity, safety, thrift, harmoniously combining the part of the ceremony and the part of the festival, ensuring compliance with the regulations of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and decisions of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, An Phong Ward People's Committee on festival management and organization.
Traditional incense offering and ritual activities are solemnly carried out, expressing the people's respect for Duc Thanh Hoang of the village and his predecessors.


Through the festival, people and tourists have the opportunity to learn more deeply about the history of formation and development of Du Nghia village. Thereby, raising awareness of responsibility in preserving and conserving cultural heritage, building a cultural life in residential areas, and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
Du Nghia communal house is a religious architectural work with a long history, imbued with the traditional cultural values of the Northern countryside. The communal house worships the village tutelary god - martial general Dao Te Cong under the reign of King Ly Nhan Tong, who contributed to the reclamation and protection of the land and was respected and worshiped by the people through many generations. The communal house still preserves precious imperial decrees, showing the recognition of feudal dynasties for the merits of Duc Thanh Hoang of the village.
Over hundreds of years, Du Nghia communal house has been preserved and conserved by generations of local people as a priceless spiritual asset, associated with the cultural and religious life of the community. With special values in history, culture and artistic architecture, in 1994, Du Nghia communal house was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic.
