According to the South Korean Ministry of Justice, from March 18, immigration forces have deployed overtime work, and at the same time mobilized more non-core personnel to support in passport check-in areas at Incheon International Airport. The number of checkpoints has also been expanded to limit congestion during peak hours.
In addition, support forces are strengthened to divert and guide foreign tourists to move to less crowded checkpoint areas. These measures aim to reduce pressure at border gates, shorten waiting times and improve the entry experience for international visitors.
Officials predict that the number of foreign visitors will increase sharply in the days leading up to BTS's event in Gwanghwamun Square. With global appeal, this group not only attracts domestic fans but also attracts a large number of international fans to Korea.

South Korea is also accelerating the operation of the entry system at Incheon International Airport, adding personnel and expanding passport control capabilities in the face of forecasts of a sharp increase in international visitors during the weekend of BTS's event.
Airport staff, in addition to the immigration force, were also mobilized to participate in support, while many passport checkpoints were put into operation more than usual.
In addition, the Korean Food and Drug Administration conducted hygiene inspections and food poisoning prevention propaganda at about 2,100 restaurants near BTS's return event venues, including Gwanghwamun, Namdaemun and Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), until the end of March 21.
At the same time, South Korea raised the terrorism warning level in some central areas of Seoul ahead of the free return concert of the group BTS in Gwanghwamun Square, expected to attract more than 260,000 attendees.
According to the plan, BTS will release their fifth album called "Arirang" on March 20, before holding an outdoor concert "BTS The Comeback: Arirang" at Gwanghwamun Square on the evening of March 21.
This event is expected to become the cultural and entertainment center of Korea today, and at the same time create a major boost for the country's tourism industry towards the goal of attracting 23 million international visitors in 2026.
