On March 17, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) announced that it would launch a series of tourism campaigns and promotional events in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ahead of BTS's reunion performance scheduled for March 21 at Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul (Korea).
According to KTO, these activities aim to encourage global fans not only to attend BTS's concert but also to explore tourism, culture and experience the regions of Korea through combining online and live promotion campaigns.
Korean tourism promotional videos will be shown on large outdoor electronic boards around Gwanghwamun Square. A LED screen billboard welcoming international fans will also be installed on the exterior of Seoul City Hall.
Near gate number 6 of Gwanghwamun station, KTO will operate a promotional booth with the Korea Creative Content Agency, providing information about BTS concerts and introducing Korean entertainment content and tourist attractions.
Many interactive activities will also be organized with souvenirs for fans and tourists.
HiKR Ground - a tourism promotion center in Gwanghwamun Square - will also be transformed into an entertainment space with a purple theme, inspired by BTS's fandom colors. This location will host many events such as drink discounts, dance and singing competitions.
On the day of the concert, HiKR Ground will extend its operating hours until midnight and provide free toilets, phone chargers and Wi-fi for attendees.

KTO will also deploy online tourism promotion through VisitKorea - a tourism platform operated by the Korean government. Locations appearing in BTS's MV will be introduced, along with attractions near Gwanghwamun Square.
International tourists will enjoy discounts on tourism products and activities through NOL World - a ticket and travel booking platform in English operated by NOL Universe.
To support fans attending BTS concerts, KTO plans to strengthen information services. Multilingual support will be expanded through the Korean Tourism Hotline 1330 and travel information centers, providing guidance on travel to Gwanghwamun Square, nighttime travel and nearby medical facilities.
KTO said that they will also support international influencers (people with influence on social networks) to produce content about the concert. The selected creators will receive travel discount vouchers to explore culture, cuisine and attractions.
Ms. Han Yeo Ok, General Director in charge of international tourism content of KTO, said: "BTS's comeback concert will be a special stage to promote the attractiveness of Korean tourism to fans around the world. We will try our best to bring unforgettable experiences to global fans.
