This is one of the activities to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification on April 30; 140th anniversary of International Labor Day May 1 and Hung Kings Commemoration Day March 10 of the lunar calendar.
Participating in the boat race ceremony were 15 teams, each team with 15 people competing with a 1,000m long race on the Ngan Pho River. Then, 4 teams with the fastest time were selected to enter the semi-finals.
This year's boat race takes place in favorable weather conditions and on the weekend, attracting thousands of cheers, adding more excitement to the rowers.
After tense chases, the team of Tan Thang and Trung Thuong villages excellently entered the final round.
As a result, the Tan Thang village team excellently won first prize, the Trung Thuong village team won second prize, and the third prize belonged to the Dong - Yen Thinh and Tan Thuy inter-communal teams.
