On March 30 (the 12th day of the 2nd lunar month), thousands of people and tourists gathered at the beach in front of the Dinh Co cultural and historical relic site (Long Hai commune, Ho Chi Minh City) to participate in the Nghinh Co ritual from the sea to enter electricity.
This is an important ritual in the Dinh Co Festival, performed methodically and solemnly by village officials and Dinh Co worshiping committees. From early morning, boats of the best fishermen of the year selected will bring the throne, long vi Co along with the ritual committee, seniors in solemn attire, lion and dragon dances with majestic drums to sea. When arriving at the place where Co died in the past, the procession ceremony of bringing Co and the gods, grandparents and ancestors to the Palace will begin.

After energizing, there is a ritual to worship Co with the highlight being the performance of Ho Ba Trao, vividly recreating the offshore and fishing activities of fishermen; at the same time, expressing faith, admiration and wishes for peace and convenience in each sea trip. After completing the ritual part, thousands of people and tourists came to worship and offer incense to pray for favorable and peaceful conditions.
According to Long Hai Commune People's Committee, Dinh Co Festival 2026 lasts for 4 days from March 27 to 30 (ie from March 9 to December 12 of the Lunar calendar) with many attractive activities. Previously, the locality had prepared and implemented plans to ensure security and order, environmental sanitation, traffic diversion and rescue... Through this, the festival took place effectively, safely, civilizedly, leaving a good impression in the hearts of people and tourists.
