During the last four days of August, two famous five-star resorts in Lang Co became the wedding venue for an Indian couple. They are business owners in the construction and fashion sectors. The event had 400 guests, mainly friends and relatives of the newlyweds.

The Indian bride and groom chose two resorts in Lang Co to hold their wedding ceremony because of the 3km long beach that ensures privacy. One of the two resorts was honored by Tripadvisor in the category of “Top 25 best luxury hotels and resorts in the world 2024”.
The second resort has 220 rooms, priced from VND4.5 million a night. Both are part of a 280-hectare complex.
The bride and groom's family traveled by private jet from India to Vietnam. Not only did they carefully survey and evaluate the service quality, they also brought 30 staff and chefs to Lang Co to directly prepare the Indian cuisine menu for the guests. About 50% of the ingredients were imported from India, the remaining 50% were local ingredients.
The wedding was held according to both Indian and Western traditions, with a diverse menu, harmoniously combining Indian and Vietnamese dishes. The two resorts mobilized 600 staff to support the wedding logistics and serve the guests.

Representatives of two luxury resorts in Lang Co said that the event of welcoming hundreds of Indian guests contributed to raising the locality's position in the field of MICE tourism and wedding tourism.
This is the first time Lang Co has been chosen as a wedding venue for the Indian elite, opening up an opportunity to introduce the beauty and diversity of Vietnamese culture to international friends. The event also contributes to promoting the image of Lang Co Bay and Thua Thien Hue tourism, especially in the high-end customer segment.

Previously, Ha Long, Da Nang and Phu Quoc were other famous tourist destinations chosen by Indian billionaire families as places to hold lavish wedding ceremonies lasting many days.
According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, India is a typical target market for wedding tourism in Vietnam. Wedding tourism has been popular in India for the past 10 years. Indians are looking to travel to other countries to hold weddings.
The wedding industry is estimated to be worth $130 billion, making it the second largest industry in India, according to a report by investment banking and capital markets group Jefferies.
Vietnam's tourism industry in general and local authorities need to have appropriate mechanisms and policies to attract and promote the development of this type of tourism in the coming time, especially with the Indian market.
