The People's Committee of Kien Giang province has agreed with the proposal of the People's Committee of Phu City on postponing the organization of the first Phu Quoc Traditional fish sauce festival in Kien Giang province in 2025.
According to the leader of Phu Quoc People's Committee, the locality has coordinated with departments and branches to urgently prepare for the program, design, personnel, facilities, funding... to prepare for the Phu Quoc Traditional fish sauce Festival taking place on April 29, 2025.
However, there are still contents that have not been completed on schedule, such as: bidding to organize the Festival (about 45 days); delegates have not confirmed their attendance due to the opening and closing ceremony coinciding with the April 30 - 1 holiday; there is no funding (mobilization source) yet...
The Festival is expected to be postponed to September 2025.
Previously, the People's Committee of Kien Giang province issued a plan to organize the first Phu Quoc Traditional fish sauce festival in 2025 in Phu Quoc city with the theme "The soul of the Pearl Island tuy" at the Phu Quoc City Cultural and Sports Center on a provincial scale.
