On February 20, the Costa Serena cruise ship carrying nearly 3,300 international visitors including Thailand, China and several other countries to Phu Quoc pearl island. Previously, on February 16, this ship also brought about 2,700 tourists to Phu Quoc and stayed until February 17 before leaving.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Dieu - Director of Dong Noi Phu Quoc Tourism Company Limited, the authorized ship receiving unit - said that this time there are nearly 3,300 international tourists visiting. Of which, there are nearly 3,000 Thai visitors, the rest are visitors from 31 countries in Asia and Europe.
International tourists will have 1 day to visit and experience Phu Quoc's services such as: 3-line cable car crossing the sea; Hoang Hon town; Grand World Phu Quoc area; VinWonders; explore the beauty of cultural life and enjoy cuisine, shop for specialties on the pearl island...
At around 5pm the same day, visitors will return to Costa Serena to leave the island.
Thus, within the past week (from February 14 to 20), Phu Quoc has consecutively welcomed 3 5-star cruise ships carrying more than 8,000 international visitors, including Thailand, China, India, Germany, Spain... to the island for sightseeing and tourism.
The People's Committee of Phu Quoc City organized an art performance program to welcome tourists to the pearl island. According to the Kien Giang Department of Tourism, seafaring ships continuously bringing international visitors to Phu Quoc is a good sign at the beginning of the year for the tourism industry, the locality will continue to promote and further promote this type of cruise tourism in the coming time.
