More than 100 overseas Vietnamese youth and students came to Hue to visit heritage sites, learn about culture and cultivate love for their homeland in the Vietnam Summer Camp 2026.

On July 18, the Hue Ancient Citadel Relic Preservation Center said that more than 100 Vietnamese youth and students abroad from 32 countries and territories came to Hue City within the framework of the Vietnam Summer Camp 2026 with the theme "Heritage Journey, Connecting Roots".

In Hue, young people visit the Hue Ancient Citadel Relic Complex and learn about Hue royal court music - two UNESCO-recognized heritages. Experiences in heritage lands help overseas Vietnamese young people better understand the history and culture of the nation, foster pride and love for their homeland.

Vietnam Summer Camp 2026 takes place from July 12 to 25, taking overseas Vietnamese youth and students through many localities across the country, combining heritage visits, exchanges, charity and connecting with domestic youth.

The program is organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) since 2004. After more than 20 years, Vietnam Summer Camp has become an annual activity, contributing to strengthening the connection of the overseas Vietnamese community, preserving and promoting national cultural identity, nurturing the feelings and responsibilities of the young generation of overseas Vietnamese towards their homeland and country.
