According to the Hue City Department of Tourism, the number of tourists coming to Hue City on National Day September 2 this year is forecast to increase sharply thanks to the 5-day holiday (August 29 - September 2), increased tourism demand and the city organizing many cultural, artistic, sports, festival, and experiential activities.
The total number of visitors is expected to reach about 535,000, an increase of 173% compared to the same period in 2025. Revenue from tourism services is estimated at about 668 billion VND, an increase of 116%.
Of which, overnight tourists are estimated at 125,000, an increase of 36%; international visitors are about 28,000, an increase of 21% compared to the same period in 2025.
The average room occupancy rate at accommodation establishments is expected to reach about 80%. Especially on peak days, August 29, 30 and 31, the occupancy rate at many establishments may reach 95%, and some places reach 100%.
Faced with the forecast of high visitor growth, Hue's tourism industry has proactively monitored the market, grasped room occupancy and service supply capacity to regulate visitors, limit localized overload, and ensure the rights and experiences of tourists.
The Department of Tourism requests tourism businesses and accommodation establishments to fully prepare human resources, facilities and plans to serve guests, especially during peak days. Facilities must check the quality of rooms, environmental sanitation, food safety, electricity and water systems, fire prevention and fighting and other safety conditions.
Tourism service business establishments must list and sell at listed prices, not arbitrarily increase prices or force prices; fully implement accommodation declarations, coordinate with local authorities and functional forces to ensure security, order, and safety for tourists.
The tourism industry also encourages businesses to increase information provision about attractions, tourism products, cultural, artistic, culinary programs and experiential activities, thereby contributing to extending stay time and increasing tourist spending.
