Hue brings heritage space to Korea to promote tourism

Hue organizes a Roadshow in Seoul to promote heritage, cuisine, tourism and expand cooperation with the Korean market.

On July 19, the Hue Ancient Citadel Relic Preservation Center said that Hue City has successfully organized a Roadshow program to introduce Hue culture, tourism, cuisine and craft villages at The Korea House (Seoul, Korea), to promote the image of the Ancient Capital and expand cooperation with the Korean market.

The program is chaired by the Hue City Department of Tourism, in coordination with the Hue Ancient Citadel Relic Preservation Center, the Korea Tourism and Travel Association (KATA) and SMC Co., Ltd., attracting nearly 100 delegates who are representatives of management agencies, travel businesses, airlines, international organizations and Korean newspapers.

Speaking at the program, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang affirmed that Korea is always one of Hue's key international tourist markets.

The city wishes to comprehensively promote cultural values, heritage, cuisine and tourism products; and strengthen cooperation with Korean partners to develop tourist sources, expand aviation connectivity and build products suitable to tourist needs.

The highlight of the Roadshow is the Hue cultural experience space with Hue Royal Nha Nhac performances, traditional dances, ao dai performances and experience activities of handicrafts such as making conical hats, painting hats and knitting hats.

Hue's culinary space also attracts a large number of visitors with activities such as wrapping banh nam, banh loc, banh ram it, making royal salt rice and enjoying many typical dishes such as banh ép, shrimp and meat mixed salad, green bean fruit cake, and salt coffee.

Within the framework of the program, there is also a business connection (B2B) activity between Hue tourism businesses and travel agencies, airlines and Korean partners to build products, develop customer sources and expand markets.

On the sidelines of the Roadshow, the Hue City delegation worked with the Mayor of Namyangju city (Gyeonggyi province) to exchange cooperation orientations on culture, tourism, heritage conservation and cultural industry. The two localities agreed to continue to strengthen exchanges, study and sign a new phase of cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) to expand cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, heritage, people-to-people exchanges and investment promotion.

According to the Hue Ancient Citadel Relic Preservation Center, the series of activities in Korea contributes to promoting the image of Hue - a heritage city, unique culture and tourism of Vietnam; and expanding the network of cooperation with localities, businesses and international organizations, towards building the brand "Hue - Land of Happiness".
