With only two weekend days, Ms. Thu Ha (Phu Lam ward, Ho Chi Minh City) and a group of friends chose a resort package combining sightseeing and cuisine right in the city instead of going far away.
We don't have to spend much time traveling but still have complete experiences. Hotel, dining and entertainment packages also help save more costs than booking individual services" - Ms. Ha shared.
Meanwhile, Mr. Le Quan (a tourist from Hanoi) said that every time he comes to Ho Chi Minh City, he seeks new experiences instead of just visiting familiar attractions.
What I like about Ho Chi Minh City is having many choices from culture, cuisine to entertainment. I especially like experiencing river buses because they both admire the city scenery from the Saigon River and conveniently connect with many attractions. Besides, green spaces also make the trip more pleasant" - Mr. Quan said.

The demand for short-day tourism, on-site tourism (staycation) and green tourism is increasing. This is also a trend that the Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry is focusing on exploiting.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the unit is strengthening links between travel businesses, accommodation establishments, transportation units and attractions to build product packages suitable to market needs.
In addition, the city's tourism industry continues to coordinate with the business community to implement stimulus programs, introduce many preferential products and services for people and tourists. Businesses are encouraged to build product packages combining accommodation, sightseeing, entertainment, cuisine and shopping, contributing to increasing the experience and extending the stay time of tourists.
For waterway tourism, the city continues to encourage the development of river tourism routes, cultural, culinary and entertainment-integrated experience programs; gradually improve service quality, diversify products to meet the increasing needs of tourists.
At the same time, focus on upgrading the service quality of nighttime waterway bus routes; continue to diversify high-end vehicles, dinner tour programs on Saigon River yachts combined with traditional art performances and modern music.
In parallel with renewing products, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism also promotes digital transformation in promotion and advertising work; strengthens the application of digital platforms, digital maps and modern communication tools to support tourists to easily access information, choose products and build suitable schedules when coming to the city.
