On February 4, Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc - Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee - chaired a working session with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to assess the results of work in 2025 and deploy some key tasks in 2026.
In 2025, in the context of the province implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the organizational structure and organizing many major political and cultural events, the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector has made efforts to synchronously implement tasks, achieving many important results in most fields.
The field of physical education and sports developed both in breadth and depth; high-performance sports maintained stability, achieving many medals at national and international tournaments.
Tourism continues to record positive growth, welcoming about 3.9 million visitors in 2025, with estimated revenue of 1,700 billion VND. Promotion, advertising, and digital transformation of tourism have been promoted, forming many products, tours, and routes associated with heritage, craft villages, and ecology.
Besides the achieved results, the sector also pointed out some limitations such as cultural, sports, and tourism infrastructure in some localities is still lacking and not synchronized; the efficiency of heritage exploitation associated with tourism development is not high; investment resources and high-quality human resources are still limited; the arrangement of some non-business units after consolidation of organizational structure is still problematic.
Speaking to direct, Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc acknowledged and highly appreciated the achieved results, and requested the sector to focus on reviewing "bottlenecks", strengthening the effectiveness of state management, and promoting digital transformation. At the same time, research and advise on cultural development orientations based on cultural, historical, and revolutionary tradition values, thereby positioning the province's cultural and tourism brand. The sector needs to proactively coordinate to organize major cultural and sports events in 2026 well.
