Landslide kills car carrying 3 people into a ravine in Sa Pa

Lao Cai - On the afternoon of September 29, a landslide occurred in Sa Pa ward, sweeping a car carrying 3 people into a ravine about 6m deep.

Initial information, at around 5 p.m., the car was moving on the way to Cat Cat village when it encountered an obstacle blocking its front. When the car had just stopped, rocks and soil from the slope suddenly slid down, pushing the car into a ravine about 6m deep on the side of the road.

Fortunately, all 3 people in the car were safe. Immediately after the incident, local authorities and authorities were present at the scene, assisting in bringing the victims out and conducting initial remedies.

Previously, a clip recording the scene of a car being swept away by rocks and soil into a ravine was shared on social media, making many people worried.

Currently, Sa Pa and many localities in Lao Cai are still experiencing heavy rain due to the influence of storm No. 10.

The government recommends that people be extremely careful when traveling through sections of road at high risk of landslides to ensure safety.
