Jeonbuk province is a land of traditional cultural values typical of Korea, along with a diverse natural ecosystem. The locality is strongly developing cultural - culinary tourism and health care tourism, in which healing tourism is oriented as a pillar with realistic experiences.
In recent years, exchange and connection activities have been deployed to bring Jeonbuk's image closer to the Vietnamese market. At the same time, it creates a foundation to promote two-way tourism cooperation, especially in areas where this Korean locality is strengthening.
In Hanoi, Jeonbuk Culture and Tourism Foundation in collaboration with the STP Institute for Education and Vocational Development organized a tourism connection program with the theme "Promoting cooperation and promoting tourism between Jeonbuk province (Korea) and localities in Vietnam".
The program further introduces Jeonbuk's tourism potential and expands cooperation opportunities between businesses of the two countries, especially in the trend of developing healing tourism and two-way exchange of visitors.

Mr. Lee Yong Woo - representative of Jeonbuk Culture and Tourism Fund - said Jeonbuk is the cradle of traditional Korean culture, where unique heritage values, beautiful nature and rich tourism resources converge.
Over the years, Jeonbuk province has continuously developed products of experiential tourism, healing tourism, cultural - culinary tourism and community tourism, to meet the diverse needs of international visitors, including Vietnam.
He emphasized: Vietnam is one of the important markets for us. The number of Vietnamese tourists to Korea has grown strongly. We believe that Jeonbuk - with advantages in nature, culture and unique tourism products - will also become an attractive, safe and friendly destination for Vietnamese tourists.
Jeonbuk tourism industry is expanding cooperation with Vietnamese businesses to build a two-way linkage program, exchange guests and develop products suitable for the Vietnamese market, creating favorable conditions for tourists. B2B connecting roadshow and seminars are expected to be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to introduce health care tourism products and cultural tourism.

Ms. Pham Thi Thu Thanh - Director of the Institute of Food and Agriculture - said that the program is an opportunity for management agencies and businesses of both sides to exchange and share information about Jeonbuk province's tourism, thereby building an effective and sustainable cooperation program.
She assessed that Vietnam and Korea have many cultural similarities, while the number of two-way tourists has increased strongly over the years. Therefore, expanding cooperation, developing new products and connecting routes is necessary.
Representing Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat - Vice President of Hanoi Tourism Association - highly appreciated the potential of Jeonbuk's healing tourism products.
He commented that the need to seek an experience to relax in the context of an increasingly fast-paced life: "If previously Vietnamese tourists to Korea mainly chose traditional tours such as Seoul, Nami, Busan or Jeju, Jeonbuk is opening up new options and this locality is quite close to cities with direct flights to Vietnam".
He expressed his hope that Vietnamese businesses will soon access these products to expand connections and bring visitors to Jeonbuk, contributing to promoting two-way tourism between Vietnam and Korea.
A representative of the Jeonbuk Culture and Tourism Foundation said that the province will continue to promote long-term cooperation with Vietnam in training, research and development of tourism products, towards a sustainable development model.
The expected activities include organizing workshops, general training on product design, enhancing signing between educational institutions and research institutes, joint market research and product development according to the theme.
