International visitors to Hanoi in September are estimated at 666,700, an increase of 46.8% over the same period. Domestic visitors are estimated to reach 3.5 million, double the same period last year.
In the first 9 months of 2025, the total number of tourists to Hanoi is estimated at 26.07 million, an increase of 23.8% over the same period in 2024.
International tourists are estimated to reach 5.5 million, of which about 3.9 million are overnight. Local tourists are estimated at 20.5 million visitors.
Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 98,360 billion, up 20.7% over the same period in 2024.
In 2025, Hanoi tourism sets a target of welcoming over 30 million visitors. Currently, Hanoi has achieved 86% of the annual target and is likely to exceed the target set for the fourth quarter of this year.

In the first 9 months of the year, the Hanoi Tourism industry will organize many major events such as: Hanoi Tourism gift Festival; Vietnam International Tourism Fair - VITM Hanoi 2025; activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2... In particular, the new product "Hanoi 5. Cua O Ship fleet - The Hanoi train" was put into operation, attracting a large number of tourists to explore and experience.
The system of accommodation facilities (especially 4-5 star high-end accommodation), shopping, dining, and entertainment services that meet the standards to serve tourists continue to increase in both quantity and quality.
Many hotel, resort, and commercial tourism service center projects have been put into operation to meet the needs of tourists from key international tourist markets and have increased tourists' spending and stay time.
In the last months of 2025, Hanoi focuses on improving the effectiveness of State management, building a safe and friendly tourism environment. The city has completed the project to innovate the Huong Son complex management model, the tourism development plan for 2025 and strengthened inspection of service quality, prices, and prevention of bad weather and epidemics.
At the same time, the capital is promoting the development of new tourism products such as agricultural tourism, night tourism, community tourism, adventure sports, MICE and night-time economy. Hanoi also expands connecting typical products with localities in the Red River Delta, Northwest, and Viet Bac in a green and sustainable direction.
