Although traveling during the historic flood, many tourists still try to take advantage of the time to enjoy their trip in Nha Trang, Da Lat...

On November 17, the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Can (a tourist from Bac Ninh) flew to Khanh Hoa, eagerly starting planned entertainment activities in Hon Tre, or sightseeing spots in the center of Nha Trang ward.

However, on November 19-20, continuous heavy rain caused many areas in Khanh Hoa province to be deeply flooded; floods on rivers rose, in some places exceeding historical levels.

To ensure safety during severe flooding, Mr. Can's family decided to stay only in the hotel. Two days before leaving Nha Trang, although a bit disappointed, Mr. Can mainly used the service around the hotel because his accommodation was located on Tran Phu Street - one of the famous tourist routes in this area.

According to Mr. Can's observation, seafood restaurants around Tran Phu Street are still open to welcome guests. However, most of the cafes were closed.

The male tourist's family mainly eats main meals and then returns to the hotel to rest. The food delivery service can still be used in Mr. Can's accommodation area.

According to Lao Dong in Nam Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa, many tourists from Ho Chi Minh City who were stuck due to floods have contributed their efforts and purchased necessities to hire trucks to transport food to support people in deeply flooded areas.

In Lam Dong - one of the localities that is heavily affected by floods, the family of male tourist Khuat Thanh Tan visited Da Lat in dry weather, no more rain. His family mainly visits places and uses services in the center of Da Lat.

At noon on November 19, while traveling from Lien Khuong airport to the city center to rest, Mr. Tan passed through the Mimosa Pass area. This is an area that suffered a severe landslide at the end of October 19. According to records, the area where the landslide occurred is estimated to be about 40m wide, about 20m deep, and about 100m long. The entire surface of Mimosa Pass was completely cut off, paralyzing traffic.

The male tourist's family tries to enjoy their time in Da Lat despite severe floods.

Meanwhile, Ms. Dang Ngoc May, a tourist from Ninh Binh, has continuously looked for a bus to travel from Nha Trang to Da Lat according to her family's schedule on November 20. After researching, her family finally found a car to move to Da Lat.

"I have safely arrived in Da Lat, the weather is dry, no more rain. After exploring Nha Trang and Da Lat, on November 22, we will fly back to the North," she said.

The tourists generally sympathize and wait patiently for the natural disaster situation, and hope the weather will soon stabilize, traffic will be restored safely to leave Da Lat as scheduled.

Currently, landslides on the roads leading to the center of Da Lat have caused many sections of passes to be blocked. Therefore, many tourists will have to stay in Da Lat longer than expected. Some accommodation facilities support tourists with room rates.

Updated until 10:00 on November 21, vehicles were allowed to circulate again through Ngoan Truc Pass on National Highway 27 - the route connecting Da Lat with Phan Rang (Khanh Hoa province).
