Overseas Vietnamese returning home to celebrate Tet increases by about 30%

According to Vietravel's statistics, the structure of tourists during Tet this year recorded a fairly balanced distribution between domestic tours (42%) and overseas tours (58%). The most popular routes are mainly 4-6 day tour groups, which are both convenient for arranging schedules and ensuring complete experiences for tourists. Notably, the group of overseas Vietnamese returning home to celebrate Tet increased by about 30% compared to the same period, showing that the trend of family reunions combined with tourism is becoming increasingly popular.

For domestic tours, sea and pleasant climate destinations continue to be prioritized by tourists. Phu Quoc, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Phan Thiet - Mui Ne... can be mentioned, places where tourists can both relax and combine entertainment with their families. In addition, pilgrimage - nature experience tourist routes such as East - Northwest, Da Nang - Hue route, Mekong Delta... also recorded good levels of interest, especially for family groups and groups of tourists who love the gentle spring travel rhythm.

For overseas tours, the advantage of 9-day long holidays, along with the need to go to pagodas - pray for peace at the beginning of the year, makes Asian routes continue to prevail. Southeast Asian and Southwest Asian tour groups such as Thailand, Bhutan, India... are popular choices, while in Northeast Asia, spring travel trips to Korea, Japan, and China continue to be considered by tourists thanks to the dense and flexible departure schedule for many days during Tet, along with a diverse system of products and experiences.
