On February 19 (the 3rd day of Tet), Binh Thuan Maritime Administration said that during the day there were 5 high-speed boat trips taking tourists to Phu Quy Island, Lam Dong province. Most boats were full, the total number of visitors to the island reached 1,725 people.

The number of visitors increased at the beginning of the year as many people chose spring sea and island tours. The sea transport route from the mainland to the islands is continuously exploited to meet the travel needs of tourists, ensuring maritime safety and on schedule.
Phu Quy Island is located about 56 nautical miles from the mainland from Phan Thiet area, the travel time by high-speed train is about 2.5 hours.

Recently, this location has attracted tourists thanks to its clear blue sea water, pristine scenery and experiential activities such as SUP paddling, coral diving.
According to Lao Dong's records at the island's port, many motorbikes of service establishments have been parked to serve the needs of renting transportation. After getting off the boat, tourists can receive the motorbike and take the initiative to return to their accommodation or visit tourist attractions on the island.

Although it is in the Northeast monsoon phase, usually lasting from November to the end of March, causing large waves to appear at sea, this year's Lunar New Year weather is forecast to be more favorable. This is a factor contributing to the increase in the number of tourists choosing to go to the island for spring travel.
Currently, the Phan Thiet - Phu Quy passenger transport route has 5 high-speed trains operating. Among them, from the 5th and 6th, the number of passengers increased sharply, so some high-speed trains have increased to 3 trips per direction.
Mr. Ngo Minh Pho - Head of Phu Quy Special Economic Zone Tourism Association - said that tourists visiting the island have visited many locations, in which Hon Tranh exploration tours have received attention.

The increase in tourists during the Tet holiday creates a bustling atmosphere in the port area and tourism services. This is a bright sign for Phu Quy island tourism in the first days of the year.
