Da Nang is rushing to complete the final steps to welcome a large number of tourists during the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year. According to the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, the room occupancy rate of 4-5 star and equivalent accommodation establishments in the city is estimated at 75-80% during this holiday.
Da Nang International Airport is expected to welcome nearly 700 flights from April 30 to May 4, an increase of 16% over the same period last year. Tien Sa Port will also welcome a cruise ship with more than 2,000 international visitors, while the number of visitors arriving by rail is estimated at 13,243.
Especially during this holiday, there is an event to welcome the " unified fleet" running the North - South route. The Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center coordinated with Vietnam Railway Corporation to organize a celebration program at Da Nang Station at noon on April 30.
The two trains SE1 from Hanoi and SE4 from Ho Chi Minh City will meet in Da Nang at around 12:30, carrying about 310 passengers. The welcoming program will include art performances, traditional musical instruments, releasing peaceful storks and giving flowers and souvenirs to passengers.
Not only focusing on transportation and accommodation, Da Nang also focuses on diversifying entertainment activities. The 2025 Sea Tourism Season Opening Program with the theme of Green Waves will take place from April 26 to February 2 at many famous locations such as the East Sea Park, Son Tra Peninsula and My Khe, My An, Nguyen Tat Thanh beaches.
Visitors will enjoy unique artistic kitchens, participate in swimming competitions, beach sports games, visit painting exhibitions, check-in at art models and many other attractive activities. The 2025 Sea Flower Street will also officially open to serve tourists during this holiday.
To stimulate tourism, the city has launched the Da Nang Enjoy - Multi-Experience program with many attractive incentives. The Tourist Support Center and the Quick Response Team were also established to ensure timely support for tourists during the holiday.
