The A330/300 aircraft with registration number VJ52 carrying nearly 300 passengers landed at Da Nang International Airport and was welcomed with a welcoming art performance, giving flowers and souvenir hats to all passengers along with souvenir photography activities.
According to the plan, travel agencies will operate a flight from Kazakhstan to Da Nang with a frequency of 4 flights/week from April to October 2025. Specifically, from Almaty to Da Nang there will be 2 trips per week (3rd and 6th), from Astana to Da Nang there will be 2 trips per week (4th and 7th).
Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, said that the opening of the Almaty (Kazakhstan) - Da Nang route marks an important milestone in connecting Da Nang tourism with the Kazakhstan market in particular and the Community of Independent States (CIS) in general, contributing to promoting the attraction of tourists from this new potential market to Da Nang.

According to the survey, tourists from the CIS countries who want to travel in winter (from December to February of the following year) often take a 10-15 day tour in groups or with their families through travel agencies. They love tropical beaches, water activities and sightseeing.
Grasping the needs of this tourist market, the Da Nang Department of Tourism has proactively issued a plan to develop and serve the international tourist market via flights from the CIS countries, focusing on communication, promotion and market research; enhancing the promotion of Da Nang tourism to the CIS market, while preparing appropriate tourism products and improving the quality of human resources to serve customers.
On the same day, the Da Nang Department of Tourism said that on the evening of April 2, flight number 8M-454 of Myanmar Airways International departing from Yangon (Myanmar) will land at Da Nang International Airport, bringing nearly 120 passengers to visit the coastal city of the Central region. This is also the first flight of Myanmar Airways International to Da Nang City.
The addition of a new route from Yangon (Myanmar) to Da Nang marks the milestone of 8/10 countries in Southeast Asia having direct flights to Da Nang, while increasing the total number of international flights to Da Nang to 16 regular flights.
