In recent days, some injuries have occurred in the Vung Tau sea area, caused by stingray stinging while swimming in the sea. This has affected the health and experience of people and tourists when swimming in the sea in Vung Tau.
For example, on April 10, a male tourist suddenly stepped on a stingray while swimming in Bai Sau beach, near Tam Thang tower, and the stingray pierced his foot. The victim had to quickly go to the hospital to treat the wound.
Initially, it didn't hurt much, but it hurt more and more and spreading upwards. When I got to the hospital, my leg was swollen and extremely painful. Although I had been treated and injected many pain relievers, it took almost a day for the condition to improve," said Mr. L.H. A - who had his leg pierced by a stingray.
Or on April 12, a female tourist was carelessly bitten by a stingray while playing and swimming in the Bai Sau beach area, near the bronze Ca Ong statue.
After being injected, the stinger was completely stuck in the hand and stuck there, causing the victim to be very painful. Rescue forces had to use pliers to cut off the stinger that was attached to the stinger, and take the victim to the hospital for removal and treatment.

According to the Vung Tau Ward Public Service Supply Center, stingrays usually do not actively attack humans. But the characteristics of some species such as venomous stingrays and stingrays prefer to find food in shallow water, burying themselves in the sand near the shore, so it is not uncommon for people and tourists to encounter them while swimming in the sea.
Therefore, people and tourists should not approach closely while swimming in the sea, and absolutely do not use bare hands to catch them, because this species often has venomous spines. Toxic spines cause damage and affect human health, even when stingrays have died.
When injured by stingrays, victims often have symptoms such as bleeding, then bruising the wound area accompanied by pain, severe numbness and itching for many hours. If not treated promptly, it can cause ulcers and necrosis of the wound.
In case of carelessness being stung by stingrays, the victim needs to remain calm and move ashore and contact the nearest rescue station for support. Do not try to remove the stingrays that are stuck in the body because this may cause adverse effects or wound infection. Rescue doctors will assist with first aid and take them to the hospital for further treatment.
