From 6am, people flocked to Yen Nghia Station (Ha Dong) to take the Metro to the center. Due to the large number of passengers, combined with jostling, the Yen Nghia station gate area was partially congested.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nam (Chuong My, Hanoi) said that he arrived at Yen Nghia station very early to queue up to take the train to Cat Linh station, but because there was too much, it took him nearly 1 hour to queue up to get on the train.

To solve the overload situation, Hanoi Railway Company Limited has increased trains running. Specifically, add 8-9 trains with a frequency of 10 minutes/trip instead of 15 minutes/trip, and mobilize more shuttle buses. Thanks to that, by around 10:30, the number of passengers at Yen Nghia station had decreased significantly.
At Cat Linh station, it was noted that in the area of Hao Nam and Cat Linh streets, there were more and more crowds, while hundreds of motorbike taxi drivers stopped and parked on the road, blocking the down gate of the urban railway to pick up passengers, causing traffic congestion.
In the morning, when some streets were not yet banned, many motorbike taxi drivers took the opportunity to solicit passengers, carrying 2-3 people to the center at high prices, ranging from 80,000 - 150,000 VND/trip depending on the passenger.

Mr. Son - a motorbike taxi driver on Hao Nam Street - said that from the afternoon of August 31 to the morning of September 1, he had transported about 20 trips, with a good income, but had to face the situation of crowded roads, the application continuously reported that customers were calling for a car.
Most visitors want to go to the parade and parade event venue, but cannot because the area has limited vehicles, and many people have come since the afternoon of August 31 to reserve their seats. I could only take them to the nearest point, then they had to walk. The income is a little higher but it is also very tiring, Mr. Son shared.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (Thach That, Hanoi) and nearly 20 people in her family took the bus to La Khe station (Ha Dong), and continued to take the elevated train to Cat Linh station.
She said: "There were so many people, the whole family had to divide into 3 groups to get on the boat. My family will stay overnight to witness historic moments. This is also an opportunity to educate children and grandchildren about the spirit of building and defending the country of their ancestors, thereby striving more in their studies and work.
