The National Achievement Exhibition with the theme of 80 years of independence - freedom - Happiness at the Vietnam Exhibition Center has just opened to visitors since August 28. As of August 30, after only 3 days of the major event, more than 1 million visitors have been recorded. This is an exhibition with a record number of visitors in Vietnam.
According to statistics from the organizing committee, on August 28 it welcomed more than 230,000 visitors, on August 29 it welcomed nearly 300,000 visitors, and especially on August 30 it was more than 650,000 visitors. It is forecasted that in the following days of the National Day holiday on September 2, this number will continue to increase.
The exhibition brings together the participation of 28 ministries, central agencies, 34 localities and more than 110 large economic enterprises and groups, with over 230 booths spread across the area of the Vietnam Exhibition Center.
Every day, an average of 100 events and experiential activities are held here to attract tourists from Hanoi, neighboring provinces and foreign visitors.
Some highlights in the event series are: high-altitude fireworks on August 28, September 2, and September 5.9; robot performances; hot air balloon performances; handicrafts performances by craft villagers; traditional art performances from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other provinces and cities; experiences, interactions, gifts from more than 200 exhibition areas...
Currently, during the National Day holiday on September 2, people and tourists flock to Dong Anh early, causing traffic jams on the roads around the exhibition. Many people and tourists have to park their vehicles quite far to get to VEC on foot.
The exhibition area is nearly 260,000 m2 wide but the atmosphere is always bustling with hundreds of thousands of people coming to visit.
According to the plan, the National Achievements Exhibition will continue to welcome visitors from 9am to 10pm on all days until September 5.
