In addition, the set of criteria also helps state management agencies to control, monitor and encourage tourism activities to develop in an environmentally friendly direction.
Thereby contributing to improving the quality of tourism and creating a solid foundation for the tourism industry to develop long-term and sustainably.
The main topics in the green tourism standards for tourist accommodation and tourist attractions include: Greenhouse gas emission criteria; green action criteria; sustainable development management team; environment, society; customers and employees; conservation of natural and cultural resources...

Each index and criterion has a corresponding score. To achieve those benchmarks, units and businesses need to provide at least one of the types of evidence to meet the requirements of green tourism.
The evaluation results of tourism units meeting green tourism standards are in the form of scoring, through scores according to 3 levels: Basic, advanced, excellent
The appraisal and evaluation will be chaired by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, coordinating with relevant departments, branches and localities to establish an appraisal and evaluation Council.
Finally, the locality will decide to recognize and issue a certificate of green tourism standards signed by the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee based on the proposal of the Council for assessment, valid for 3 years.
