On January 4, information from the Tourism Management Department (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province) said that the international cruise ship COSTA SERENA has docked at Ana Marina International Cruise Terminal (Bac Nha Trang ward).
This is the first international cruise ship to arrive in Khanh Hoa in 2026.
The COSTA SERENA ship departed from Hong Kong port, carrying tourists mainly from European countries. Immediately after docking, the international yacht Ana Marina had about 2,800 tourists ashore for sightseeing.
During the stay in Nha Trang from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM on the same day, tourists participate in many activities to visit and experience the outstanding destinations of the coastal city.
The delegations visited Long Son Pagoda, Ponagar Tower, Stone Church, I-Resort tourist area, Dam Market, Skylight Bar; strolled in the Tram Huong Square - Tower area, Nha Trang Beach Park and experienced Vietnamese traditional cyclos.
When the sightseeing program ended, the COSTA SERENA ship left Nha Trang on the same evening to continue its journey to Ho Chi Minh City.
This is the 2nd time Ana Marina International Cruise Terminal has welcomed international cruise passengers.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa, in the first 2 months of 2026, the locality is expected to welcome 8 more international cruise ships, with about 13,500 passengers. This is considered a positive sign for the strong recovery of cruise tourism in the locality.
Statistics in 2025 show that Khanh Hoa welcomed 31 international cruise ships, with more than 30,808 visitors ashore for sightseeing.
After Nha Trang port temporarily stopped welcoming international cruise ship passengers, Khanh Hoa province urgently sought alternative solutions.
To date, Khanh Hoa has 2 locations to welcome international cruise ships to dock, which are Ana Marina International Cruise Terminal and Cam Ranh International Port. Both locations well meet technical requirements and ensure maritime regulations to welcome international super yachts to Khanh Hoa.
The fact that international cruise ships continuously compete with Khanh Hoa as a destination contributes to diversifying the international tourist market, promoting tourism growth and making positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the province.
