Tatler Best of the Best is an annual award organized by Tatler Magazine, considered a "measure of class" of the luxury service industry in Asia.
The selected locations not only meet the criteria of luxury but also must create an impression of customer experience, unique architecture, sustainability and connectivity with local culture.
In 2026, Garrya Mu Cang Chai - belonging to Banyan Group was highly appreciated by Tatler magazine for its architecture inspired by the Northwest terraced fields, a minimalist resort space according to the wellbeing philosophy and a deep connection with the indigenous Mong culture.
According to Tatler's introduction, the resort is a place where visitors can regain connection with nature, culture and themselves amidst the majestic scenery of the Northwest highlands.

Located in the core of Mu Cang Chai national scenic spot (Lao Cai province), Garrya Mu Cang Chai is positioned as a modern health care resort, aimed at tourists looking for relaxation, energy regeneration and slow living experience amidst nature.
The architecture here focuses on the harmony between light, natural materials and mountain and forest landscapes. Bamboo structures inspired by traditional highland houses are recreated in modern design language, creating an open, airy but still close and warm space.
Earth color palette, natural materials and soft light-filtering bamboo frame system bring a feeling of tranquility to the entire resort. Many common spaces such as meditation courtyards, open lounges or scenic spots are designed to serve early morning meditation activities, relaxation and peace of mind at sunset.

This is also one of the factors that helps Garrya Mu Cang Chai score points with Tatler's professional council in the wellbeing tourism (healthcare tourism) and energy regeneration trend that is increasingly popular in the world.
Besides resort experiences, visitors also have the opportunity to access indigenous cultural life through activities to explore handicrafts, traditional stories and daily activities of highland people.
Accordingly, in September 2025, Garrya Mu Cang Chai resort hotel (address: Pu Nhu village, Pung Luong commune, Lao Cai province) was recognized by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism as a 5-star standard resort hotel.
This is also the 5th 5-star standard hotel in the highlands of Lao Cai.
