On June 29, information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province, Garrya Mu Cang Chai Resort was just voted by Travel + Leisure readers in the Asia - Pacific region into the Top 10 Best Upcountry Hotels in Vietnam at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2026.
This is one of the prestigious awards for outstanding resort destinations, bringing different experiences and contributing to shaping the high-end tourism trend in the region.

Being honored just after a short period of operation is a noteworthy milestone for Garrya Mu Cang Chai, and also shows the increasing attraction of the resort model combining health care amidst nature in the Northwest highlands.
Located at an altitude of about 1,000m between the rolling mountains and famous terraced fields of Mu Cang Chai, the resort offers a space separate from the noisy pace of life, where visitors can regain physical and mental balance.

Pursuing the philosophy "Well Ageing – Live Longer, Live Healthier", Garrya Mu Cang Chai develops health care programs based on the eight wellbeing pillars of Banyan Group, combined with the Asian health care philosophy.
The highlight of the resort is a modern hydrotherapy system, sleep support therapies, infrared sauna, and meditation and yoga activities in nature.
Each experience aims to help tourists regenerate energy and build a healthy lifestyle after the vacation.

Not only impressing with health care programs, Garrya Mu Cang Chai also brings opportunities to explore unique local cultural values.
In the land with a history of hundreds of years of the H'Mong people, visitors can feel the beauty of the po mu wooden houses, the sound of the khen in the Gau Tao festival or the traditional brocade weaving and wax painting craft.
Mornings at the resort usually start with meditation and yoga hours amidst the sea of clouds, relaxation treatments in warm water or moments of admiring the endless terraced fields stretching from the balcony of the room.
Opening in 2025, Garrya Mu Cang Chai is the first resort of the Garrya brand in Vietnam, and also owns the largest bamboo-structured resort in the world.

The resort consists of 110 rooms, designed in harmony with the natural landscape and operating in the direction of sustainable development, connecting the local community through social responsibility programs and indigenous cultural preservation.
According to the resort representative, this award is not only a recognition for Garrya Mu Cang Chai but also contributes to affirming Vietnam's potential on the high-class health care tourism map of the region.
In the first 6 months of 2026, Garrya Mu Cang Chai welcomed nearly 20,000 visitors. Of which, 15,000 domestic visitors and 5,000 international visitors.
In September 2025, the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism issued a Decision recognizing Garrya Mu Cang Chai resort hotel as meeting 5-star standards.
