On February 23, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that in the first 7 days of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday (from December 28th to the 5th day of Tet), the whole province welcomed about 735,000 visitors, an increase of more than 12.1% compared to the same period last year.
This year's Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday lasting 9 days has created a major boost for Khanh Hoa's tourism industry.

In the first days of the new year, the number of domestic and foreign tourists flocking to visit and relax increased sharply, many 3-5 star hotels were fully booked.
Records from hotels and resorts in the province show that the average room occupancy rate is about 80%.
Especially during the peak night of the 3rd and 4th days of Tet, most 3-5 star hotels have no rooms left to serve tourists.
In particular, dining services, motorbike and car rentals in Nha Trang areas are always "sold out". During Tet days, tourists who want to go to entertainment or car rental places must book early to avoid crowds.
In the Nha Trang area, the number of visitors increased sharply on the 4th and 5th days of Tet.
On central roads, especially Tran Phu street, tourist cars lined up to move, at times with long rows during morning rush hours.
Many famous attractions attract a large number of tourists such as VinWonders Nha Trang, Nha Trang Tourist Wharf (Nha Trang Bay tour), Po Nagar Tower, Oceanographic Museum, Long Son Pagoda, Hon Chong, Lan Island Tourist Area...
Mr. Tran Van Phu - Head of Nha Trang Tourist Wharf Management Department (Nha Trang Bay Management Board) said that on the 5th day of Tet alone, there were about 9,000 visitors visiting the islands in Nha Trang Bay. Previously, on the 4th day of Tet, the wharf welcomed more than 10,000 visitors.
At Ba Po Nagar Tower, on the 4th day of Tet, the relic site welcomed more than 10,000 visitors; by 12:00 PM on the 5th day of Tet, it had recorded more than 6,000 visitors.
In which, Nha Trang tourist wharf welcomed more than 40,000 visitors; Ba Po Nagar National Special Relic welcomed more than 49,000 visitors; Hon Chong scenic spot welcomed nearly 12,000 visitors.
With positive growth momentum right from the beginning of the year, Khanh Hoa's tourism industry is expected to continue to break through in the year of Binh Ngo, especially when the long Tet holiday creates favorable conditions for tourists to choose sea and island destinations.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai (Bac Nha Trang ward) shared that no year has seen such a large and stable number of customers for many days like this Tet holiday.
From the 2nd to the 5th, Tran Phu street is always bustling. Restaurants, cafes, and tourism services are all crowded with customers. People doing services like us have additional income at the beginning of the year, so we are very excited," Ms. Mai said.
Mr. Tran Van Hung, a tourist car driver, said that long holidays give customers more time to choose tours to visit Nha Trang Bay, islands and spiritual cultural sites.
Customers no longer go in a hurry for 2-3 days and then return as before, but stay longer. Thanks to that, the revenue of many business households has increased significantly," Mr. Hung commented.
