On March 23, Long Hai Commune People's Committee (HCMC) said that the locality is implementing the organization of the Dinh Co festival in 2026, expected to take place in 4 days, from March 27 to the end of March 30 (ie from February 9 to February 12 of the lunar calendar).
This is one of the largest annual festivals of Southern fishermen, recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2023. At the same time, this is an indispensable folk belief event, cultural and spiritual activity of local people.
Currently, the locality is coordinating with units to strive to deploy preparations for the ceremonial and festival parts, ensuring that they take place thoughtfully, attractively, safely, and create an impression for people and tourists.
According to the plan, the ceremony part will be held solemnly with traditional rituals imbued with the identity of sea residents.
The festival part will be vibrant with many folk activities such as net weaving contests, net poles, carrying fish, throwing con... Besides preserving folk rituals, the festival part also has exciting activities such as parades, lion - dragon dances, amateur music, artistic kites; stage performances recreating Dinh Co history.

According to Long Hai Commune People's Committee, this year's festival is even more special as it is located in the cultural space of Ho Chi Minh City and the locality operates under a 2-level government model. To serve a large number of tourists during the festival, the locality has developed a plan to ensure security and order, traffic diversion...
In particular, rescue and relief work is being deployed with many checkpoints along the beach, mobilizing neighboring localities to support during holidays to ensure absolute safety.
Accommodation establishments in the area with nearly 4,000 rooms have also received a fairly high number of pre-booked guests. Especially on March 29 (before the main holiday), most accommodation establishments were fully booked.
