According to the plan, the Phu Day Festival 2026 will be held at the Phu Day Relic Complex, Vu Ban commune.
The festival will officially open on the evening of April 19 at Kim Thai Stadium. Prior to that, in the morning of the same day, incense offering activities and folk cultural and sports activities will take place at temples, palaces, pagodas, and mausoleums belonging to the Phu Day Relic Complex.
In the following days, many special activities will be organized such as the art festival of Chau Van singing, folk games such as tug-of-war, stick pushing, duck catching, human chess competitions, sutra procession, torch procession and traditional rituals imbued with the cultural and religious identity of Mother Goddess worship.
Notably, two highlight rituals, calligraphy pulling, will be held on April 23rd and 24th at Van Cat Palace and Tien Huong Palace, with calligraphy sets of spiritual significance such as Mau nghi thien ha and Quoc thai dan an, attracting the attention of a large number of people and tourists.
On April 4, Mr. Tran Minh Hoan - Secretary of the Party Committee of Vu Ban commune said that the festival organization was implemented in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ensuring security and order, traffic safety, fire and explosion prevention, environmental sanitation and food safety throughout the festival.
Along with that, functional forces will strengthen inspection and control of business and service activities; prevent the situation of touting, price gouging, trading in counterfeit and poor quality goods; and at the same time strictly handle acts of taking advantage of festivals for profit, ensuring a civilized and healthy festival environment.
The highlight of the festival is a series of rich activities, combining traditional rituals and folk cultural and sports activities, aiming to preserve and promote the unique intangible cultural heritage values of the Red River Delta region.
The Phu Day Festival 2026 is expected to continue to be an attractive cultural and spiritual destination, contributing to promoting the image of the traditional Vu Ban land, while creating motivation to promote tourism and local economy.
