The Hanoi Lotus Festival 2026 is organized by the Hanoi Department of Tourism to concretize the city's policies on cultural and tourism development, and at the same time promote the unique values of Thang Long - Hanoi, the land of Tay Ho and the image of lotus flowers - flowers symbolizing Vietnamese identity and soul.
According to the plan, the opening ceremony is expected to take place from 7 pm to 9 pm on June 26 and the closing ceremony on the evening of June 28 at Ly Tu Trong Flower Garden (Tay Ho ward).
The highlight of the festival is the space "Lotus - Essence and Life" lasting for 3 days at Ly Tu Trong Flower Garden. Here, visitors can visit exhibition areas introducing famous lotus varieties of Hanoi and many localities such as Nghe An, Hue, Dong Thap; learn about the lotus ecosystem associated with tourist destinations.

The Organizing Committee also built many art spaces combining tradition and modernity such as calligraphy lotus, lotus on driftwood, lotus with lacquer, ceramics and wind paper. Handicraft products inspired by lotus flowers such as embroidery, carving, silk, paper flowers, and lotus conical hats will be introduced to the public.
Notably, the festival dedicates a private space for lotus silk weaving with the participation of craft village artisans, combined with fashion collections using lotus materials and patterns.
In addition, visitors have the opportunity to experience lotus tea culture, enjoy tea, participate in tea art exchanges and explore many lotus dishes such as lotus seed sweet soup, lotus jam, lotus flower tea, lotus heart tea, longan tea, lotus leaf rice.
On June 27, at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, the space "Lotus - Art and Creativity" will take place with an exhibition of calligraphy about lotus and a painting program "Moment of West Lake Lotus" for about 500 children.
On June 28, the space "Lotus - Performance and Community" was held at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, Tay Ho Lotus Culinary Culture Area and Tay Ho Flower Valley. The highlight activity is a folk art performance program associated with the image of lotus flowers and the art parade "Lotus goes down the street" with about 1,000 people expected to wear ao dai to participate.
Within the framework of the festival, there are also accompanying programs such as photography exchange "Colors of West Lake Lotus", sports activities, art performances and West Lake Lotus Tea Cultural space with workshops experiencing making lotus tea.
According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the festival aims to become an annual tourism promotion and promotion event of the Capital on a national scale, contributing to spreading national cultural identity, promoting Hanoi's image to domestic and international tourists, and at the same time unleashing the potential for developing economic and tourism products from lotus.
