Honoring Vietnamese agricultural products, promoting sustainable ecological agriculture
From June 5th to June 8th, 2026, the 1st Dong Thap Fruit Festival in 2026 takes place at Hung Vuong Square (Dao Thanh ward).
This provincial-level event is directed and organized by the People's Committee of Dong Thap province with a consistent theme: "Dong Thap - Sweet fruit region". The festival is organized with the aim of honoring specialty fruits of Dong Thap province, the Mekong Delta region and the whole country; and at the same time strongly promoting the potential and strengths of the local fruit industry.
Through the series of events, the organizers expect to promote trade promotion, effectively connect agricultural product consumption flows in both the domestic and export markets. From there, contribute to agricultural economic development, improve production value and clearly define the image of a Dong Thap developing ecological, modern, and sustainable agriculture.
This is also a practical exchange and connection space between managers, scientists, businesses, cooperatives, gardeners and consumers; creating a lever to promote agricultural tourism, experiential tourism associated with spreading culture, people and typical products of the pink lotus land.
Rich series of activities and unmissable highlights
With a methodical organization scale, this year's festival will include 9 main activities and 12 response activities. The special opening highlight is the Opening Ceremony taking place at 8:00 PM on June 5, 2026 at the main stage of Hung Vuong Square. The closing ceremony takes place at 6:45 PM on June 8, 2026.
Visitors to the festival will be immersed in a unique festival space with exhibition and experience activities lasting throughout four days, such as: Display space, Dong Thap fruit industry value chain exhibition; Fair, trade promotion of fruits, OCOP products and typical products of the Mekong Delta region...
In addition, the festivals will also be filled with attractive professional activities and contests at fixed times.
On June 5, the Opening of the Art Contest of arranging models from fruits will take place; Workshop "Farmers 4.0 and organized raw material areas"; especially the meaningful ritual "Attaching irrigation to trees, to fruits".
June 6th has the "Fruit Running Track" mixed jogging tournament; In-depth Conference on key fruit industry chains; Food competition from fruits...
According to Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien - Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee - through this large-scale event, Dong Thap province wishes to create a strong motivation to promote the fruit industry to move towards modernity, greenness and sustainability. At the same time, contributing to raising awareness and orienting consumers to choose safe, nutritious fruit products that fully meet strict standards from both domestic and export markets.
