The festival is also an opportunity to introduce and promote the typical river culture of the Mekong Delta to domestic and foreign tourists; spread the message of environmental protection, towards sustainable tourism development.
This year, Can Tho aims to increase the effective exploitation of waterway tourism products, develop tours - inner-city routes and connect with Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta provinces. The city also aims to expand river tourism linkages with countries along the Mekong River in the coming time.
Can Tho River Culture Festival 2025 has the theme "Can Tho - River Colors", taking place from December 26, 2025 to January 1, 2026 at Ben Ninh Kieu Park, Song Hau Park and neighboring areas.
During the festival, many activities will be held such as: opening program; art performances to serve visitors every night; photo exhibition "Living on the river - The old and present Western region"; decorating models and miniatures; sailing races, SUP boats.
In addition, there is also a space to display OCOP products, typical cuisine; culinary promotion programs; waterway tourism stimulus activities and river environmental protection programs. The festival will close on January 1, 2026.
