According to the Department of Culture and Sports of An Giang province, relevant units are urgently completing preparations for the 2026 Via Ba Chua Xu Nui Sam Festival to be successfully held, creating a new impression in terms of both organization scale and tourist service activities.
According to the plan, the opening ceremony will take place from 7 pm to 9:30 pm on June 6, 2026 at Nui Sam National Tourist Area and the festival lasts until June 12, 2026 (from the 21st to 27th of the 4th lunar month).
The new point of this year's festival season is the combination of traditional religious rituals with modern art programs, elaborately staged, with unique content... contributing to elevating the cultural and spiritual tourism product of the locality.
This is also the first year the festival has been organized after the merger of provincial-level administrative units and the implementation of a two-level local government model, so it is expected to become an event to promote the image of new An Giang to domestic and foreign tourists.
During the festival, in addition to traditional rituals such as performing the procession of Ba statues, Ba bathing ceremony, spirit possession ceremony, túc yết ceremony and building chau, main worship ceremony, hoi sac ceremony..., the Organizing Committee also built a series of special art programs with the participation of many artists and singers from Ho Chi Minh City.
In particular, the fireworks display at Nui Sam National Tourist Area on the opening night is expected to become a highlight attracting people and tourists, contributing to increasing the nighttime tourism experience in the Nui Sam area.
Promoting cultural and artistic activities associated with the Via Ba Chua Xu Nui Sam Festival not only contributes to preserving and promoting the value of the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO, but also opens up opportunities to promote the development of tourism, services, and trade of An Giang in the new period.
