According to the plan to organize the National 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the artillery force will carry out a ceremony to launch fireworks to celebrate with 18 105mm artillery pieces, including 15 officially used guns and 3 reserve guns to conduct a solemn welcome fire.
Ben Bach Dang Park was chosen as the location for the fireworks display thanks to its spacious, airy space and high symbolic value, in line with the solemn nature of the event. At the same time, this is also a convenient place for people to visit and watch the fireworks display.
The dike shooting drills will be held at Ben Bach Dang Park, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City throughout April.
Every day, soldiers practice from 7am to 5pm, divided into two shifts in the morning from 7am to 10am and in the afternoon from 2:30pm to 5pm, mainly with bulletproof ammunition.
This is part of a periodic training plan to improve coordination capacity, response and handling of real-life situations of participating forces.
In addition to weekly morning drills from Monday to Saturday, fireworks display drills on Tuesday and Friday evenings also attract a large number of people and tourists.
On April 15, 17 and 22, the training force will use live ammunition in the exercise. For the remaining days, all activities will use fake bullets to ensure the safety of people and tourists in the area.
People living, working or traveling near Ben Bach Dang Park are advised to proactively arrange the route, limit travel near the area during the exercise, and strictly follow the instructions from the authorities to ensure absolute safety.
According to the plan, the main target will be fired at 7:00 p.m. on April 25, 7:00 a.m. on April 27 and 7:00 a.m. on April 30 at Ben Bach Dang Park. April 30 is the official day of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
On the morning of April 30, this artillery team will fire a cannon on the national anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The artillery pieces were divided into 5 platoon companies, each platoon consisting of 3 guns and each khau with 3 guns in charge, performing the rhythm of firing 21 shots according to military ceremony.
The series of firecrackers not only showed the spirit and power of the nation, but also a vivid symbol for heroic tradition, pride and resilient will to mold the gold history in the great moments of the country.
