On February 11, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province issued a decision to stop the pilot use of four-wheeled vehicles running on electric energy or gasoline engines to transport tourists in Da Lat city. The decision applies to Da Lat City Tour Company Limited and Tinh An Tourism Service Development Investment Company Limited.

The suspension of operations is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety and the Road Law, starting from February 15, 2025. The Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Transport to notify the units participating in the pilot about this.
Previously, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee approved a pilot project to use four-wheel electric vehicles to transport tourists in Da Lat city.
Two businesses piloting electric tourist cars with about 75 cars include Dalat City Tour Company Limited (50 cars, from 2018) and Tinh An Tourism Service Development Investment Company Limited (25 cars, from February 2024).
According to Decree No. 165/2024/ND-CP dated December 26, 2024, from February 15, 2025, electric vehicles will only operate on routes with signs indicating a maximum operating speed of 30 km/h applicable to all vehicles participating in traffic.
However, in Da Lat City, there are no speed limit signs on the roads inside and outside the city. Therefore, the operation of tourist electric cars must stop until further notice.
