During the Hung Kings Commemoration Festival and the April 30 - May 1 holiday of this year, the tourism industry of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) has achieved many positive signs. Statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism show that in 9 days (April 25 to May 3), international visitors to HCMC are estimated at 19,000; domestic visitors are estimated at 1.5 million. Total tourism revenue this time is estimated at 8,700 billion VND - nearly 9,000 billion VND.
New product series and regional linkages strongly attract customers
This result comes from many resonance factors, in which long holidays play a role in stimulating tourism demand throughout the region.
Ho Chi Minh City takes advantage of the linkage advantage, forming a diverse chain of destinations including urban - sea - ecological - cultural, thereby, the number of visitors increases sharply, especially domestic visitors.
Along with that is the synchronous coordination between the tourism industry, local authorities, and businesses in preparation and service organization.
Right from the beginning of April 2026, the city's tourism industry has implemented stimulus activities, announcing nearly 1,000 new tourism products and services.
Many programs and events such as the Vietnamese Banh Mi Festival, fireworks displays... contribute to creating a vibrant atmosphere and increasing the experience for tourists.

Travel businesses also proactively innovate products in a thematic direction, increase cultural and historical experiences, and combine diverse sightseeing methods.
Many outstanding programs such as the Saigon Commando tour, city experience by classic car, program connecting the center of Ho Chi Minh City with destinations such as Can Gio, Cu Chi, Binh Duong and eco-tourism and health care products.
Experiences such as admiring the city from above by helicopter or 5-star yacht are also developed into a water-air experience chain, contributing to elevating the destination's image.
At the same time, stimulus packages with preferential rates up to 41%, priced from 599,000 VND, have contributed to promoting tourism demand.
Service is well controlled, enhancing the tourist experience
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism assessed that thanks to the large-scale accommodation system, abundant supply and early preparation, the market ensures service capacity, and there is no room shortage.
Accommodation establishments proactively upgrade infrastructure, arrange suitable personnel, develop flexible service plans for each customer segment, and at the same time, implement reasonable price policies to limit sudden price increases.

The long holiday continues to boost tourism demand throughout the region, although transportation costs are affected by fuel prices.
Localized overload pressure at some destinations, especially the coastal area of Vung Tau and the city center, reflects the effectiveness of developing inter-regional products and improving connectivity infrastructure, especially expressways shortening travel time.
During the holiday, activities to welcome and serve guests took place sôi động in many areas, especially in the central area, coastal areas and eco-tourism spots.
Wards, communes, and special zones actively coordinate with businesses and communities to organize cultural and festival activities, contributing to extending stay time and increasing experience.
Service quality management has been strengthened, from checking price listing, ensuring food safety to protecting the environment. The situation of touting and unreasonable price increases is better controlled; feedback from tourists is received and handled promptly.
In addition, the role of the community in tourism activities has initially been effective. Many models of community tourism and agricultural tourism in suburban communes have attracted attention, especially from family and young tourist groups.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism assessed that this year's holiday recorded positive and synchronous changes throughout the area.
The city continues to show its role as both an attractive destination and a tourist transit center in the region.
It can be seen that the positive signal during this year's holiday creates a foundation for the city's tourism industry to enter the summer peak season with the expectation of maintaining growth momentum.
