Average growth in the period 2021-2025 reached over 40%. Total tourism revenue is estimated at about 1,345 billion VND.
"In addition to the advantages, Mang Den tourism also faces difficulties such as lack of synchronous tourism infrastructure, the risk of hot development reducing natural resources, low sustainable financial mechanisms for the conservation and development of tourism products, low service quality; thin human resources for tourism...", Mr. Dang Quang Ha frankly said.
Quang Ngai province identifies Mang Den as the western growth pole, in which tourism is the foundation, the driving force for socio-economic development, connecting the sea - forest axis of Quang Ngai. The Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Mang Den Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030, also aims to make Mang Den commune a National Tourist Area by 2030, a natural resort center of Vietnam.
According to Mr. Dang Quang Ha, to achieve this goal, it is necessary to plan an ecological space for 3 areas of high-value primeval forests, sensitive habitats, maintain the status quo, only allow limited sightseeing along the route, associated with environmental education and scientific research activities.
Planning the combined agricultural - forestry sector, organic and medicinal agricultural production, combined with farmstay development, using multi-purpose agricultural land to form agricultural eco-tourism products, forest eco-tourism associated with organizing ecological education activities, environmental protection and community experience...
Interest in investing in strategic projects
Speaking at the first Quang Ngai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 held on September 11, Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that in tourism, Quang Ngai must create unique products, connect forests and seas, realize the strategy of one destination, three countries, turn the reputation of Ly Son island, landscape potential, Mang Den climate and the advantage of the Dong Duong intersection into a unique tourism product, where visitors can experience the diverse culture of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia in the same journey.
"It is necessary to wholeheartedly realize that Quang Ngai's tourism potential is at 5 stars, but Quang Ngai's tourism infrastructure and tourism products are very small. We must know how to feel sad when comparing with neighboring provinces that have the same natural and social characteristics" - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh said.
In terms of infrastructure, it is necessary to focus on investing in strategic projects with inter-regional connectivity. The economic space of the province has been expanded, but without connectivity, it will not be able to become a strong economic entity but will still be just disjointed pieces
"In the 2025 - 2030 period, it is necessary to invest in economic connection projects, especially transport infrastructure, complete the Quang Ngai - Kon Tum expressway, coastal roads, Mang Den airport, Ly Son airport, upgrade key national highways, create a smooth traffic axis from the Central Highlands to the sea and connect internationally" - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh directed.
