The event gathers about 300 people from 32 ethnic communities of 15 provinces and cities, bringing a colorful cultural space, imbued with traditional identity.
According to the Department of Culture of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), this year's event has the participation of representatives of many ethnic groups and regions such as E De, Gia Rai (Dak Lak), Khmer (Ca Mau), Cao Lan - San Chay (Phu Tho), Kinh (Thanh Hoa)... Delegations will directly recreate traditional rituals, perform folk culture and introduce local specialties.
During the 3 days of the festival, the "Spring Festival" series of activities is organized throughout with many unique cultural experiences. On February 27, focusing on introducing folk songs, folk dances, folk knowledge, traditional handicrafts and products such as brocade, folk musical instruments, regional cuisine. Visitors can participate in folk games such as bamboo dancing, stilt walking, con throwing, bird's nest fighting, contributing to creating a bustling spring atmosphere.
On February 28, Party and State leaders attended the Te-ve-da procession ceremony of Khmer people and offered incense at Khmer pagoda; wished Tet to ethnic minorities; attended the ritual of praying for harvest, peace and Festival of the Central Highlands villages, and at the same time planted memorial trees. During the day, there was also an art program "Celebrating the glorious Party, celebrating the country's spring", the San Chay ethnic people's field hunting festival in Phu Tho province and the exchange program "Spring Colors of the Highlands".
On March 1st, the cultural space continued to be extended with the Health Worshiping Ceremony of Gia Rai people, performances of Don ca tai tu art, Dong Thap folk songs and exchange activities to promote regional heritage.
Spring Colors across the country" is an annual cultural and political event held at the beginning of the year at the Village of Culture and Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups. The festival aims to honor the cultural values of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups, strengthen the great national unity bloc, and contribute to preserving and promoting traditional cultural heritage in contemporary life.
